How we research and check guides
Sources first
Facts come from primary sources wherever they exist: official and government pages, the brand or venue itself, recognised standards bodies and established news outlets. Each fact in a guide is numbered and links to the page it came from, with the date we checked it.
Where AI fits
We use AI tools to find candidate sources, pull out quoted facts and draft a first version. A quoted fact only stays if the exact wording is found on the source page. The draft then goes to a person.
A named editor signs off
An editor checks every fact against its source, removes anything they can’t confirm, and adds what they know from planning weddings themselves. Their name is on the page. Until an editor signs off, a guide is not published to search engines.
No paid placements
No vendor, venue or brand pays to appear in a guide. If we ever link to a shop and earn a commission, the page will say so next to the link.
Corrections
If something is wrong or out of date, tell us. We fix it, change the “Updated” date and keep the source list current.
